hi Mathew. The alcohol does work as a material for pick-out. It also helps to rub larger areas out with it to get back to the white of the paper pretty easily. So, the alcohol and the eraser are my tools to achieve the whites. Also, the alcohol mixture with the ink and ink/water creates some really neat effects. Thanks!
