Studies From Life

This page is a collection of work done from observation - studies from life in portrait and figure (quicksketch and long pose), still life, and any other type of work done from observation. This is just a small collection of Observational work - I have accumulated quite a lot of studies from life over the years, having painted from life several times per week on the regular for many years - too much to post here, but this is a page that shows a bit of those paintings.  I use the time working from life to experiment, learn, focus on specific technical aspects of painting and observation, and merge all of what I'm doing in my own work, as well as teach in-studio classes in drawing and painting.
